Tampa Bay move-outs: identify the waste provider first

Before a Tampa Bay move-out clean, identify the waste provider for the actual address and the approved collection point. A Tampa mailing address does not by itself settle who collects the waste. Keep disposal arrangements separate from the cleaning visit so filled bags or remaining furniture have a confirmed destination.

That’s what the walkthrough actually looks for. If you’d rather not do it during the week you are moving, send us the address and the move-out date and we’ll come back with a price.

Start with the address lookup

The City of Tampa utility page offers an address lookup and warns that some Tampa areas use Hillsborough County solid-waste service. Use the property’s account or manager to confirm the result. Do not borrow a neighbor’s schedule from a different service area.

Give the provider a real endpoint

Describe the authorized cart, shared enclosure or other agreed collection point. Ask who has access to it and what happens if it is unavailable. Moving waste out of a kitchen without resolving that endpoint can simply transfer the unfinished task to a hallway.

Keep bulky items out of the ordinary bag plan

Identify remaining furniture or equipment before requesting the clean. Consult the correct provider for disposal arrangements or seek a separately reviewed removal request. Confirm the room will be accessible afterward; a furniture pickup request is not evidence that the item has actually left.

The City of Tampa advises residents to verify the solid-waste provider for the address because some areas are served by Hillsborough County. Its address lookup is the starting reference. City of Tampa Utilities

Published scope and the limits of this guide

The published JAS scope says: “Cabinets and drawers cleaned inside and out” — Read the source service page

A cleaning request does not confirm municipal eligibility, pickup timing or hauling. This guide makes the owner’s disposal decision visible without promising a collection outcome.

Should the cleaner choose the disposal location?

Provide the approved location in advance and ask about any access limitation.

What if furniture pickup is still pending?

Tell the cleaning provider which areas remain blocked and revise the sequence or scope before arrival.
