Pelican Bay runs on a seasonal clock. A large share of residences here are occupied November through April and closed or lightly used through the summer, which means the cleaning year has two hinge points: the reopening, when months of settled dust and A/C-circulated film need a full reset, and the close-down, when the home is cleaned and covered before the drive or flight north. In between, high-rise units deal with salt air off the Gulf and villas deal with lanais, golf-cart garages, and the pollen the preserve's canopy sheds.
