Where Robert Mueller Municipal Airport's 711 acres sat until it closed in 1999, residents began arriving in 2007 onto uniformly new construction — row homes, yard homes and roughly 3,200 apartments on a compact grid threaded with the Southwest Greenway, Branch Park and Lake Park. Everything is young and tightly packed, so the load runs to construction dust from continuing build-out, hard-water film on new fixtures and glass, and December-to-February cedar pollen settling on pale modern finishes.
