What is included in a deep house cleaning?

At JAS, a deep house cleaning is one 42-item checklist, worked room by room across a 4–6 hour visit with a two-person team: kitchen, bathrooms, living areas and surfaces, floors, linens, and a CleanCheck report at the end. It adds the buildup work a regular clean does not touch — and appliance interiors and windows stay priced separately.

Almost every answer to this question online is a made-up list: the writer had no real one to quote, so they wrote one that sounds thorough. Ours is published, and here it is as it stands, group by group — with the boundary stated in the same detail: what is not on it.

The published list, group by group

The published labels do the arithmetic for you: a Standard clean reads “2–3 hr · 28 items” and a deep clean reads “4–6 hr · +14 items” — the same 28 plus fourteen more, which is the 42 the deep-clean page verifies by photo. It is not a different list. It is the same one, extended downward, outward and into the corners.

The fourteen that make it “deep”

The deep-clean page puts it in its own words: a regular residential clean maintains a home that is already in good shape — kitchen, bathrooms, surface dusting, vacuuming, and mopping. A deep clean adds detailed work such as baseboards, cabinet faces, reachable light fixtures, blinds, sills, switches, door frames, cobweb removal, and reachable areas under furniture. That block is what does not fit in two hours, and it is why the visit runs four to six.

What it does not include

Appliance interiors, cabinet interiors and window cleaning remain separately priced unless your confirmed scope explicitly includes them. Those prices are published too, on the Deep clean card of the services page: empty refrigerator $65, refrigerator with food $85, inside oven $65, interior windows from $10 per pane. A hidden add-on is how a cheap clean stops being cheap, so they are named up front instead.

Three things people assume and the list does not carry: carpet shampooing, wall washing and ceiling work. None is a published line, and adding them to an article would be inventing scope. What does come included without a separate line is the kit: we arrive with everything — vacuums, mops, and eco-friendly products by default, with fragrance-free options on request. If you prefer a specific product on a delicate surface like natural stone or unsealed wood, leave it out with a note and we will use yours.

And one boundary that is not about price but about kind: a cleaning visit is not remediation. The Terms reserve the right to refuse service in cases of unsafe conditions (mold, infestation, biohazard). If that is what you are looking at, a longer checklist is not the answer. In the same way, a property empty for a move is move-in / out cleaning and a renovation just handed back is post-construction — different services, different lists.

What Miami adds to the same list

Living here does not change what is on the list; it changes where the hours go. Humidity, salt air, and year-round pollen mean buildup happens faster here than in drier climates, and the deep-clean page says it plainly: salt air leaves a film on glass, railings, and fixtures that a quick wipe never fully lifts. That is why “baseboards hand-wiped” and “grout spot-treatment” weigh differently in a bayfront apartment than in the same apartment inland.

The calendar is different too. “Spring cleaning” is an imported rhythm; here the year is shaped by hurricane season, June through November, and the deep-clean page itself names hurricane dust as one of the reasons for a seasonal reset. Most Miami homes benefit from a deep clean two to three times a year — a starting point, not a rule — and the A/C runs twelve months, so air vent covers never get an off-season.

And in a tower, what changes is the day, not the list. Buildings want vendors registered at the front desk, many associations require a certificate of insurance on file before a crew gets past the lobby, and some assign the service elevator by reservation and time slot, on top of quiet hours. How you check the list was actually worked

A checklist without proof is a promise. Nothing is charged at booking: after each completed visit we issue an invoice for the service delivered, and you see your exact quote in the booking flow before you confirm.
