What do cleaning add-ons cost — oven, fridge, windows?

J
JAS Cleaning
FROM THE OPERATING PLAYBOOK · ES / EN

Here is the menu, at our published Miami-Dade rates: inside the oven $49, the emptied fridge $49 — $69 with food inside, deep cleans only — interior windows from $10 per pane, laundry wash, dry and fold $30 per load, and cabinet interiors $7 per empty door with a $75 minimum. Every extra you toggle in the booking flow lands in your on-screen quote before you confirm.

That’s the whole answer in one paragraph. What follows is the detail that decides whether an add-on is worth it on your booking: the condition attached to each row, and which service each one belongs with — or is redundant on.

The menu, row by row

The first four rows are published word for word on the Deep clean card of our services page — “Priced separately: empty refrigerator $49 · refrigerator with food $69 · inside oven $49 · interior windows from $10 per pane” — and the rest is the booking flow’s live menu, the same one that prints a price next to each checkbox as you tick it. What the crew actually does inside the oven and the fridge — degreasing, racks, drawers, why it takes the time it takes — is the same playbook method we walk through step by step in how to clean an oven with baking soda and how to clean your refrigerator.

Two conditions are worth reading twice. The $49 oven is for standard buildup; if the oven hasn’t been opened for anything but roasting in years, heavy buildup gets confirmed at a higher rate before the work — not at your door. And the fridge has two prices for a simple reason: emptied, the crew goes straight in; with food, someone has to remove it, clean, and put it all back — hence the $69, and hence that version existing only on the deep clean.

Windows: priced per pane, not per house

The windows row reads “interior windows & frames” and bills per reachable pane: $12 per pane on the standard clean’s menu, from $10 per pane on the deep-clean schedule, and a flat $10 per pane on move-out — the figures the Deep clean and Move-in/out cards publish. Sliding-door tracks are their own separate add-on, and the outside face of the glass is a different row with different rules: the booking menu offers it only per accessible ground-floor pane, from $15 with confirmation required — above that it’s another trade, and in a Miami tower the exterior glass is usually the building’s territory anyway. Where the boundary falls exactly — sills and tracks inside the standard visit, panes as an add-on — we’ve mapped in full in does house cleaning include windows?

Per-pane pricing is the honest version of this work. A four-window apartment and a twenty-window house shouldn’t pay the same, and a flat “window fee” is always padded for one of the two. Count your panes before you book and the number stops being a mystery.

Laundry and cabinets: the two with useful fine print

Laundry wash, dry and fold runs $30 per on-site load — working machines in your home are required, because the crew washes while it cleans rather than taking anything away. It’s the same extra the Airbnb turnover card publishes as its laundry option from $30 per load, and a linen-heavy turnover is where it earns its keep. What cleaning services do — and don’t do — with your laundry gets its own article: do house cleaners do laundry?

Inside cabinets bills at $7 per empty cabinet door with a $75 minimum — emptying them is your half of the deal, same as the fridge. On a deep clean the flow quotes cabinet interiors from $75. And check before paying for it twice: move-out cleaning, starting at $409, already includes empty cabinet, drawer, closet and shelf interiors in its published scope. If you’re moving, that add-on is redundant.

Which extra pairs with which service

The price shows up before you commit

None of this is a rate you discover at the end. Our terms state it as house policy: “We price before you commit: you request a quote, see it, and then request a time.” In practice, every extra you tick adds its own line to the on-screen quote — oven $49, so many panes at so much — and one more click removes it if the total doesn’t earn its keep. The add-on lands in the number, never at your door.

FAQ

Why is the fridge cheaper empty than with food inside?

Because the with-food version is more work: the crew removes the food, cleans the emptied interior, and puts everything back. That option is $69 and published for deep cleans only; the emptied-fridge add-on is $49 on any residential service. If you can empty it the night before, you save $20.

Are windows priced per house or per pane?

Per pane, and only reachable interior panes — sliding tracks are a separate add-on, and the outside face is its own row: exterior window cleaning covers accessible ground-floor panes only, from $15, confirmation required. That per-pane shape is why a Miami condo with four windows and a townhouse with twenty get honest, different numbers instead of one padded flat fee.

Do I need the cabinets add-on for a move-out cleaning?

No — the published move-out scope already includes empty cabinet, drawer, closet and shelf interiors, starting at $409. The cabinets add-on ($7 per empty door, $75 minimum) is for standard or deep visits where cabinet interiors are not in the base scope.
