Notice what that gap is not: a surcharge for being new. It is two different services — 14 more items, baseboard to cobweb, across roughly double the hours. There is no first-visit fee — there are first-visit hours
JAS has no “initial fee” line. What exists instead is a quote — we call you about it before you request a time — and, as the Terms put it, quotes reflect what you told us about the property: if the scope on arrival is materially different — for example, additional rooms or heavy build-up — we re-quote with you before doing extra work, never silently. Nothing is charged at booking, either: after each completed visit an invoice is issued for the quoted amount, with a secure payment link. The number you approve is the number on the invoice — first visit included.

The deep-clean page says it without hedging: humidity, salt air, and year-round pollen mean buildup happens faster in Miami than in drier climates.
